Dolls were never only pretty. They were made to be looked at, posed, passed around and misread. This Sunday, Rainbow Nights asks you to take the script back.
6 September marks eight years since the Supreme Court of India read down Section 377 insofar as it criminalised consensual same-sex relations between adults. The Doll Ball honours that watershed moment while making room for the ongoing, complicated pleasure of showing up as ourselves.
The dress code is simple: come as a doll, any gender. Porcelain, vinyl, paper, pageant, punk, bridal, gothic, comic-book or something not yet named. Dressing up is an invitation, never a test; arrive exactly as you are.
On the night: Khemaya brings the drag act, while DJ Yogi keeps the room moving after the introductions are over.
At the bar: curated cocktails, 1+1 on drinks, and special offers until 9:30 PM.
