Before jazz had a name, it had an address.
Not printed. Not announced. Passed between the right people, in the right rooms, at the right hour of the night. You arrived because someone trusted you enough to tell you. And the music — raw, restless, morally ungoverned — did the rest.
The Velvet Grind was born from that same whisper.
Three editions in, the room has not changed. The candlelight still falls the same way. The brass still finds you before you find it. The ice in your glass still melts a little faster than it should. What has changed is this: the city now knows what happens here. And it keeps coming back.
